Area of Application

The ISOSTOP systems are generally characterized by a slim design. This makes transport and installation in high alpine terrain much easier. They are an effective and efficient system used to protect life, infrastructure and other elements at risk. ISOSTOP 1:1 scale tested carrying both European and Swiss certifications.

Rope Guidances

The upper and lower bearing ropes are led through a rope guidance that is integrated on each post head and base plate. Each guidance provides large curved surfaces to help protect the ropes and allow unobstructed movement. The guidance is designed to be robust and with no movable parts in order to ensure longevity and zero maintenance.

Integrated Ladder

Posts from this ISOSTOP system are built from RHP profiles that provide high torsional rigidity and extremely low weight. The detachable steps are installed after transport and enable the highest level of work safety.

Base Plate

The universal base plates of the ISOSTOP systems can be used for compression-tension anchoring, as well as for placement on foundations or walls. The unique mounting bolt enables free-standing installation of the posts, which saves significant time, especially when assembling a helicopter.

Lateral Anchorage

The lateral anchoring of the ISOSTOP systems is clearly structured and can be reduced to a minimum of anchors by use of efficient brake elements. This shortens the construction time and reduces construction costs.

Retaining Rope Anchorage

ISOSTOP systems do not have brake elements on the upslope side of the fence and are therefore particularly insensitive to surface loads such as static snow loads, avalanches or landslides. Due to the optimal interaction of the nets, ropes, posts and brake elements, the forces in the retaining ropes are small and enable a small number of anchors and reduced anchor lengths.

Isorod

The ISOROD forms the core element of the 3000 and 5000 kJ ISOSTOP systems and is based on the same principals as the ISODISK. Due to its compact installation length, it only requires a small distance between the post and the lateral anchor and its low weight makes it easier to install, especially on steep terrain.

Ring Net

The 6:1 Ring Net used forms a perfect interception layer. Together with the exceptional weight-to-strength ratio, this net enables an optimized system construction with high safety reserves.
