Area of Application

The ISOSTOP systems are generally characterized by a slim design. This makes transport and installation in high alpine terrain much easier. They are an effective and efficient system used to protect life, infrastructure and other elements at risk. ISOSTOP 1:1 scale tested carrying both European and Swiss certifications.

Rope Guidance

The bearing ropes are guided by shackles along the supporting posts. This connection allows a very fast installation and a simple replacement of any of the components.


Posts from this ISOSTOP system are built from RHP profiles that provide high torsional rigidity and extremely low weight. The detachable steps are installed after transport and enable the highest level of work safety.

Base Plate

As with all fixed-rotation systems, the base plate is integrated into the post. The lower bearing rope is led through a guidance attached to the base plate having a curved surface both horizontally and vertically to assist deflection of the rope. The base of the post is secured to the foundation/subsurface through three bolts or rock anchors.

Lateral Anchor

The lateral anchoring of the ISOSTOP systems is clearly structured and can be reduced to a minimum of anchors by use of efficient brake elements. This shortens the construction time and reduces construction costs.

Simplex Brake Element

Friction-based brake elements, such as the SIMPLEX brake, have a long history of proven use and impresses with its simplicity during transport, installation and maintenance.

The foldable FLEXNET can be pre-assembled on the posts. The net is extremely robust and elastic thanks to the structure of individual wire rope strands. After an event, the flexible wire rope ensures that it returns to its original geometry and thus significantly reduces maintenance costs.
