TS-HM-150-ZD

Area of Application
The TS-HM-150-ZD is a shallow landslide barrier with a hinged connection to the base plate requiring upslope retaining ropes to support the post head. It has been 1:1 scale tested with multiple impact events.

Rope Guidances
The bearing and middle ropes are led through a rope guidance integrated on each post head and base plate. Each guidance provides large curved surfaces to help protect the ropes and allow unobstructed movement. The guidance is designed to be robust and with no movable parts in order to ensure longevity and zero maintenance.

Integrated Ladder
Each post has an integrated ladder composed of rungs spaced at 50 cm intervals in the webbing of the I-beam. The ladder assists in the installation of the fence as well as routine inspection and maintenance.

Retaining Rope Anchorage
The post head is secured using retaining ropes leading to an upslope anchor in the middle of the field on either side of the post. This gives side-to-side stability of the post as well as the ability to lead forces into the ground. One anchor is shared between two posts. For the TS-HM-150-ZD, there are no brake elements on the retaining ropes.

Lateral Anchorage
The lateral anchoring is completed with thimbles and shackles on every rope for a technically correct connection and ease of maintenance. The TS-HM-150-ZD has brake elements on the bearing ropes but none on the retaining ropes from the head of the post.

GDV Brake Element
The GDV series of brake elements are steel profiles with a roller which is pulled along its length when a force is applied, causing deformation. The gauge and length of the steel strip can be altered to control the amount of energy absorbed and the total displacement. These brakes are highly efficient and require minimal off-set from the posts.

Omega-Net
The primary net material used in Trumer systems is called the Omega-Net. It is a steel cable net made from spiral rope that has thick individual wires to resist abrasion. The strands of rope are pre-bent into arcs resembling an omega shape and then woven together to make the net. This process yields an extremely strong net with high flexibility and energy absorption characteristics.
